Experienced Big 4 Audit Senior Manager seeking Financial Controller

Holding both ICAEW and CAAZNZ qualifications, this Big 4 Audit Senior Manager has also gained 10+ years’ experience (Deloitte & KPMG) leading audit engagements across numerous industries including current exposure to technology, consumer, retail, property, oil & gas, logistics, manufacturing and insurance.

Furthermore, they have also experienced 18 months in the commercial sector, so are familiar with intricacies of the commercial environment vs. the “Big 4” landscape.

Responsibilities & Achievements:

• Led and managed multiple, highly successful, audit engagements for multinational organisations listed on the ASX, Malaysian Stock Exchange (BURSA) and Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX), including planning the audit timeline, monitoring the audit progress and stakeholder management.
• Performed other audit services such as limited scope reviews, special audits and IPO preparation exercises;
• Performed risk and controls review on the Statement of Risk Management and Internal Control
• Led reviews on Group Consolidation (i.e. permanent and current year adjustments, tax and cash flows). Perform scoping analysis, draft group audit instructions to component auditors for group reporting, review component auditor’s working papers;
• Other scopes of work include reviewing journal entries, reviewing local tax and deferred tax computation, drafting management letters, attending and observing stock counts, performing stock reconciliations, and coaching and supervising team members.
• Drove KPI growth through audit tender proposals, negotiation of fee increments, timely billing of WIP, and other key administrative matters;
• Led two key department pillars: audit quality and transformation to drive internal service excellence;
• Identified as a key talent by the partner group and was selected for Deloitte’s Ignite Leadership Program.
