Position Overview:
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of (Company Name). You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance. In addition, you will lead and mentor the finance team, providing strategic guidance to senior management. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment and is looking to contribute to both strategic and operational financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:
    Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Manage external audits and ensure all filings are completed on time.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts. Work closely with department heads to align financial goals with the company’s strategic objectives and provide insights on financial performance.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company’s financial stability. Develop strategies to optimise working capital, manage debt, and ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet the company’s evolving needs.
  • Strategic Decision Support:
    Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by senior leadership. Participate in key business reviews, growth strategies, and new product or market launches, ensuring financial considerations are factored into all decisions.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
    Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets. Continuously seek opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance financial reporting accuracy.
  • Cost Management:
    Analyse costs across the business and recommend ways to reduce operational expenses while maintaining quality and efficiency. Work closely with department leaders to monitor and control spending.

Qualifications:

  • CPA, CA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial experience, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven experience managing a finance function in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in [specific sector] preferred but not essential.
