Position Overview:
The Finance Transformation Manager will be responsible for driving and overseeing transformation initiatives within the finance function. You will work closely with senior leadership to assess current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices and technologies to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance, project management, and process improvement who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance Transformation Strategy:
    Develop and execute a comprehensive finance transformation strategy that aligns with the company’s broader business goals. Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and technology enhancements to improve financial performance.
  • Process Improvement:
    Lead efforts to streamline and enhance financial processes, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounts payable/receivable. Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices that increase operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Technology & System Implementation:
    Oversee the selection and implementation of new financial technologies and systems, such as ERP platforms, financial planning software, and automation tools. Ensure smooth integration with existing systems and alignment with business needs.
  • Project Management:
    Lead finance transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations. Develop project plans, manage resources, and track progress against milestones.
  • Change Management:
    Collaborate with finance and business teams to drive change across the organisation. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees are equipped to embrace new processes and systems. Communicate progress and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Data & Performance Analytics:
    Implement data analytics tools and frameworks to improve financial reporting and decision-making. Use data-driven insights to measure the success of transformation initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    Work closely with senior management, finance, IT, and other departments to ensure that transformation initiatives are aligned with overall business strategy. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive engagement and adoption of new processes.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    Ensure that transformation projects comply with financial regulations, internal controls, and risk management frameworks. Identify potential risks related to the transformation and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, as well as an MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CIMA), is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance transformation, process improvement, or project management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of leading successful finance transformation initiatives, including technology implementation.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
