Position Overview:
The Tax Accountant will play an essential role in ensuring the company meets all tax obligations and operates efficiently from a tax perspective. You will be responsible for preparing tax returns, managing compliance with tax laws, and providing support in tax planning activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Preparation & Filing:
    Prepare and file corporate tax returns, including income tax, GST, payroll tax, and other applicable taxes. Ensure all filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Tax Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with local, state, and international tax regulations. Stay informed of changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the company’s operations.
  • Tax Accounting & Reporting:
    Prepare and maintain tax-related balance sheet accounts, including deferred tax, tax provisions, and tax liabilities. Ensure that tax accounts are reconciled regularly and accurately.
  • Assistance with Audits:
    Support tax audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities. Assist in ensuring a smooth audit process and in resolving any tax-related issues that may arise.
  • Tax Planning Support:
    Assist with tax planning activities by providing input on tax implications of various business activities and transactions. Work closely with the finance team to ensure tax efficiency in all operations.
  • Transfer Pricing:
    Assist in maintaining transfer pricing documentation and ensuring compliance with international transfer pricing regulations. Collaborate with finance and legal teams to manage cross-border transactions.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency in tax filings and reporting. Implement best practices in tax accounting and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant tax accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of local and international tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
